Sir Howard Morrison KC has joined The Raymond Buildings as an Associate Tenant after a long career at the Bar and the UK International Bench. He holds a practising certificate to facilitate Bar Mutual insurance. He is the UK Independent Advisor to the Ukraine Prosecutor General and President of the Court of Appeal of the British Indian Ocean Territories. A Visiting Professor at Warwick, Leicester and Northumbria Universities and a Senior Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at Cambridge University.
He was a trial judge in the case of Radovan Karadzic and President of the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court.
Former trial judge at the UN International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia and Judge of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon.
International criminal and humanitarian law and international human rights cases. Universal jurisdiction (not available for UK criminal court advocacy).
Reparation for international crimes.
In respect of international asset warrants.
Arbitration for international criminal issues. Advising and training judges, prosecutors and defence counsel in international criminal and counter-terrorism cases. Advising governments on international criminal law prosecutions and liabilities.
