Manston Inquiry

Clair Dobbin KC, Reka Hollos and Ella Crine, as Counsel to the Manston Inquiry, appeared at a hearing to set out what has emerged in the Manston Inquiry’s investigations to date and to assess readiness as the Inquiry prepares to commence hearings. The Inquiry concerns events at Manston, a detention facility for people arriving into the UK by small boat. The Inquiry is investigating the potential unlawful detention of thousands of men, women and children, in marquees, at Manston; the conditions at the site (including overcrowding and an outbreak of diphtheria); and the death of one detainee.
