Attacker found guilty of Saudi language student’s murder in Cambridge

Following a two-week trial at Cambridge Crown Court, Chas Corrigan was found guilty of murdering Mohammed Algasim, a 20-year-old Saudi language student. Mr Corrigan stabbed Mr Algasim in the neck after an interaction lasting less than a minute on 1 August 2025.  Nicholas Hearn, leading Ruby Shrimpton, appeared for the Prosecution.
