International Crime Training and Advocacy Day

Please join Three Raymond Buildings for its third international crime training and advocacy day taking place on Saturday 31st January 2026, from 09:30 to 15:30. Participants will be introduced to the key concepts in sanctions, universal jurisdiction and extradition, before preparing and delivering an application for permission to appeal an order for extradition. Members of Chambers will deliver the training and act as the judges for the advocacy exercise.

The event is open to anyone intending to practise at the Bar of England and Wales with an interest in criminal and international law. No previous experience is required or expected. If you applied last year and did not get an in person place you are welcome to apply again. We will not accept applications from those who attended last year.

Please email training@3rblaw.com to apply. We don’t require a full CV, but a few lines about you, where you are in your journey to the Bar and your experience to date would help us. We particularly encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds as part of our strategy to increase diversity within chambers. We will always make reasonable adjustments for applicants with a disability so please do speak to us (in confidence) about what support we can provide should you need it. In exceptional cases we will consider contributing towards the travel of eligible students based in the UK who would otherwise be unable to attend the event.

Applications will close on Friday 6 December. All applications will be considered after the deadline has passed. Applicants will be notified if they have secured a place by Friday 12 December.

Please note, this event will be held in person at Three Raymond Buildings and Gray’s Inn.
