After a three-week trial at Derby Crown Court, Simon Thomason was convicted of the murder of Anthony Tipper.
Mr Thomason stabbed the victim to the chest causing him to bleed to death. He then spent 4 hours trying to clear evidence away. A second Defendant, Dale Lynch, was convicted of assisting an offender.
Mr Thomason was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 19 years for the murder.
