The inquest into the death of Muhammad Qasim has concluded. Mr Qasim died when he crashed his vehicle in the early hours of 2 October 2023.
Mr Qasim crashed while being followed by a police car driven by a WMP response officer. The IOPC’s driving expert accepted under questioning that the officer’s conduct had not amounted to a pursuit.
The jury made no criticism of the officer in its narrative conclusion.
