INTERPOL has deleted a red notice concerning Abril Meixueiro, who is wanted by Mexico for alleged child abduction. INTERPOL deleted the red notice after finding that the criminal proceedings against Ms Meixueiro were unlawful.
INTERPOL previously indicated in a rare public statement to The New York Times that it had temporarily blocked the red notice concerning Ms Meixueiro. The New York Times article considering Ms Meixueiro’s case can be found here.
