Three Raymond Buildings Bringing Disability to the Bar Advocacy Weekend

Over the course of this weekend 20 of our barristers, staff and pupils volunteered to run a criminal advocacy workshop for disabled students. The weekend aimed to develop the skills needed during pupillage and in early practice at the criminal bar.

In addition to advocacy training, we ran a series of Q&A sessions with the students focusing on pupillage interviews and the challenges disabled barristers face in the early years of practice.

We would like to congratulate the students who completed the course and to thank Konstantina Nouka, Julie Davis and Allison Hochhalter from the Bringing Disability to the Bar committee who ran the event with us.

The event would not have been possible without our chambers administrator Donna Garner who was present throughout the weekend and the generous support of the Gray’s Inn Education Department.
