Court refuses to order extradition to France for dangerous driving death which occurred in the UK

The extradition of a man accused of causing the death of a French citizen through dangerous driving in Whitechapel has been refused on the basis that the UK is the appropriate forum for prosecution and that the offending could not be classified as gross-negligence manslaughter in order to allow for extra-territorial jurisdiction.

Amanda Bostock and Joel Smith KC acted for the Requested Person. You can read more about the case here.
