3RB x Bringing (Dis)Ability to the Bar Criminal Advocacy Weekend 2025

We are delighted to partner with Bringing (Dis)Ability to the Bar to run a criminal advocacy workshop for disabled students over the weekend of 1 and 2 March 2025.

The workshop aims to equip disabled students with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to succeed at the criminal bar in an environment that is supportive to their needs. The weekend is likely to be of interest to anyone with a disability who is actively considering a career at the criminal bar.

Participants will be introduced to bail applications, pleas in mitigation and closing speeches before having the opportunity to prepare and deliver submissions and receive detailed feedback from members of chambers.

Trainers for the event include Patrick Gibbs KC, Matthew Butt KC, William Emlyn Jones KC, Clair Dobbin KC, Rachel Barnes KC and Reka Hollos.

The weekend will also include panel discussions tailored to succeeding at pupillage interviews and tips for applying as a disabled applicant.

To apply to attend the event please download the attached form.

Please note the event will be held in person in accessible rooms at Gray’s Inn and within Three Raymond Buildings.
