Police Sergeant Acquitted of Rape, Voyeurism and Perverting the Course of Justice

A Police officer who also served as a Police Federation Representative was acquitted today of all counts he faced after a four week trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Following the acquittals, the trial judge stated that she intended to write to the DPP and Chief Constable of Hampshire Police to express her concern about matters which arose during the trial which revealed an investigation that was “far from impartial or open minded”.
