Historic Soho jazz club retains Premises Licence

New Evaristo Club (aka ‘Trisha’s’) is one of the oldest jazz bars in Soho and has counted Anthony Bourdain, Amy Winehouse, and Led Zeppelin among its patrons.

The Licensing Authority for Westminster City Council commenced a review and sought the revocation of its Premises Licence, with support from the Metropolitan Police Service, following a number of breaches of licence conditions. However, at a hearing on 6^th July 2023, the Licensing Sub-Committee declined to revoke it. It instead suspended the licence for 14 days and imposed a number of conditions to ensure compliance moving forward.
