On 5 January 2021, BUPA Care Homes (ANS) Limited was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court for breaches of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 after a wheelchair bound resident died having caught fire whilst smoking unsupervised.
Saba Naqshbandi and Genevieve Woods appeared for the prosecution.
