HMRC withdraws Account Forfeiture application

On 14 August 2020, following detailed written representations, HMRC withdrew its application for an Account Forfeiture Order (AFO) in respect of funds transferred from Iran to the United Kingdom. This resulted in the immediate discharge of the Account Freezing Order (AFrO) previously imposed by Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Rachel Barnes and Ryan Dowding acted for the account holder, instructed by Ronald Fletcher Baker LLP.
