A West Midlands Police officer has been cleared of three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court. The officer had used PAVA spray on two women who had been arrested and were in the back of his vehicle. He was alleged to have lied in his witness statement about the incident.
Matthew Butt represented the officer in question.
