Firm fined £145k over workers’ deaths

Two men killed in a factory explosion three years ago when the paint booth they were working in exploded and turned into a fireball had their employer, Harford Attachments Ltd, admit two breaches of health and safety practices, and were fined £145,000 at Norwich Crown Court.

Jonathan Ashley-Norman, prosecuting, told the court the deaths had been “tragic, sudden and unnecessary”.
