On 21 March, the High Court quashed the order for Craig Pinnick’s extradition to Spain to face charges of conspiracy to import cocaine. The Court held that the European Arrest Warrant was defective and failed to satisfy the basic requirements of the EU’s “fast track” extradition scheme. The EAW was issued after Spanish authorities seized a yacht containing 50kg of liquid cocaine.
