Lawful Killing conclusion in James Fox Inquest

After a four week inquest a jury returned a conclusion of lawful killing in relation to the death of James Fox. Mr Fox was shot five times by armed police officers. The jury stated in a narrative conclusion that the experienced police officers honestly believed that they needed to fire to defend themselves. The shooting was the first in the United Kingdom to have been captured on bodyworn cameras.
