High Court hears the first ever Unexplained Wealth Order

The High Court today heard a challenge to the first ever Unexplained Wealth Order. The order had originally been sought and obtained by the National Crime Agency, and concerns a property in London said ultimately to be owned by a Politically-Exposed Person now in custody abroad. (There are reporting restrictions in place to protect the identities of those involved.)

James Lewis QC and Ben Watson are instructed for the Respondent to the Order.
