Allegations of gross misconduct arising from moped collision with police vehicle found not proved

Ailsa Williamson represented a MPS police officer who executed a blocking manoeuvre in an attempt to stop a moped rider who was suspected of criminal activity from filtering through stationary traffic. The moped crashed into the police vehicle and the rider suffered injury. The police officer faced dismissal for allegations relating to use of force and duties and responsibilities. All allegations were found not proved.
