On 11th April 2014, four men were jailed for life with minimum terms ranging from 18 years to 35 years. They had been convicted of the brutal murder of Cem Duzgan, a young man caught in the cross-fire of a bloody feud between two warring gangs. Mr Duzgan was shot with a Mach-11 machine gun in Clapton on 5th October 2009, just yards from members of the public exiting Clapton station.
Bill Emlyn Jones appeared for the prosecution.
