Blackpool decision on Early Morning Restriction Order

The licensing committee of Blackpool Council has unanimously decided not to recommend the imposition of an Early Morning Restriction Order which would have banned the sale of alcohol after 3am in the centre of the town. The decision followed a four day hearing in which evidence was heard from police, emergency services, Blackpool residents and representatives of the licensed trade. The final decision will be made by the full council.

Stephen Walsh QC appeared on behalf of Stonegate Pub Company instructed by Poppleston Allen solicitors.
