Operation Elveden: Former Surrey Police officer, Alan Tierney, and a former Metropolitan Police officer, pleaded guilty to Misconduct in Public Office and were sentenced to ten months and two years’ imprisonment respectively. They had sold stories to the Sun concerning celebrity arrests and scandal.
Both were represented by Bill Emlyn Jones.
