Hugh Davies recognised in New Year Honours List

CEOP is responsible for policing national and international sexual offending against children, including internet based crime, extraterritorial offending and child trafficking. Hugh has advised CEOP throughout its history.

On receiving the award Hugh Davies said:

“The award is wholly unexpected. I make no claim that it is deserved, most particularly when my contribution is measured against that of many others. The honours system recognises both individuals and areas of work of national and international public significance. The protection of children from different forms of sexual and economic exploitation is one of the defining global challenges of this Century. It has been my privilege to work with some remarkable individuals at CEOP, and the NGO community, in promoting the interests and most basic human rights of children in this context. This work is intrinsically important and my commitment, supported as ever by Three Raymond Buildings, will continue into the future.”
